Hello! My name is Valerie, and I am the owner of Uniquely Nordic. Uniquely Nordic is a family run business. We started our business because of our love for all things Nordic. I have lived in Norway and together with my family, have traveled extensively through Scandinavia. I was also raised with a strong sense of heritage. Scandinavian family history and traditions were passed on to me from my very Swedish and Norwegian grandparents and great grandparents. Now with growing children of my own, I look to the future and hope to send my daughters out into the world with their own strong sense of belonging to something greather than the present. The Uniquely Nordic family has a strong belief in the importance of roots. We encourage you to explore your Scandinavian heritage and share it with your family. Try reading a folktale to your child, baking a special treat, or sharing a joke with a friend. Its the little moments like these that carry on.
